The human race is growing apart:
“Our study denies the widely held assumption that modern humans appeared 40,000 years ago, have not changed since and that we are all pretty much the same. We aren’t the same as people even 1,000 or 2,000 years ago.”
Personally I’m a fan of being able to drink Milk in to adulthood.

Well, hologram might be the wrong word - but Cisco TelePresence looks brilliant. [via Times Online]
This is Cisco TelePresence - one guy is on stage in India, the other is in San Jose California, 8000+ miles away. Yet they both appear to be on the same stage. The interaction between them wasn’t recorded either. It’s way cooler and greener than air travel.
The video on that page is of a demonstration of the technology, but also mentions an interesting contest Cisco are running - I-Prize - to find the next major business opportunity for the company. Interested entrepreneurs can connect and collaborate, with the winning team being hired by Cisco and having their idea heavily invested in and developed.
Going back to the original article linked above, I thought I’d mention how much I like the design of Times Online. The Times is a long-establish British national newspaper and this is their online arm. I hadn’t really visited the site until Jessi found a section in their lifestyle pages written by Gordon Ramsay, but since then I’ve been impressed with the clean layout and the way they deal with displaying high-volume content without over-cluttering the page.
