Libraries can look cool
April 20th, 2008 | 02:29 pmCan’t say I find myself in a library often these days, many believe I was put off after finding out my department at University was called “Department of Library Studies” until a couple of years before I attended. (It changed to the Department of Information Science, if you were wondering. Sneaky, huh.)
However, turns out that some of these book-wielding buildings actually look really cool inside. Granted, I nearly clicked away from the web site that presented me with this insight (another stumble…) after it’s title was “Hot Library Smut”. Thankfully the first paragraph reassured me and I scrolled down to see the impressive interiors of the BNF in Paris and the British Library, amongst others.
So, only now are you telling me that after I’ve struggled to fund you through Uni, going without food and all the other vital necessities of life, the net result is that my little lad is a bleedin’ librarian???!!!!!
Well, I am supposedly suitably qualified to be, yes… fear not, however, as you will never see me take up such a profession.
Who ever heard of a librarian that could work from home?
