Gordon Ramsay is a legend

Whether it’s Kitchen Nightmares (UK or US version), Hell’s Kitchen (ditto), The F-Word or his Wikipedia article, I just can’t get enough of Gordon Ramsay. The man’s a legend.

Imagine my delight when I stumbled across What Gordon Ramsay can teach software developers [37signals].

Is there anything Ramsay can’t improve?

Ramsay is a fantastic business man. On Kitchen Nightmares, without fail, he turns around failing restaurants with nothing more than common business sense (and a touch of skill).

I hate Gordon Ramsay he is an arrogant sod. Why do people tolerate his conceit it is not like he’s great scientist or great thinker, he’s just a chef!!!! Ramsay is your typical bully and creep. Does lots of work for charity, infront of the television, and then drives his brother to suicide behind it.

There’s no denying he’s an excellent business mind though and an extremely good motivator. Perhaps it’s just the fact that in an increasingly softly-softly world it’s nice to find someone in the public eye who’s not afraid to get in peoples’ faces if they’re f-ing around.

I don’t believe there can be any reasonable justification for being that much of a total fuckwit. Ever heard of bad karma?

I have much more respect for people who can motivate others through positive means (which is much more difficult and impressive) rather than controlling them through fear.

There are many other much more intelligent ways of turning around businesses.
